    Great content is the foundation of every successful channel on social media, Instagram included. Creating good quality and captivating is one of the best ways to earn more views and followers on Instagram. You thus need to put a lot of effort and creativity into coming up with original ideas of content that your target audience will love and consume. It is also worth noting that Instagram is majorly about visuals, a reason you should create compelling and impressive posts and uploads to gain followers. It is also worth taking time to verify Instagram accounts.

    Attention to detail is the key to creating great content, especially photos. Even with the most basic of devices (such as your smartphone) and taking advantage of natural light, you should be able to take excellent-looking photos. You’ll, however, need to identify just the right background for the content. It is one thing to take a good photo and another to take one that tells a story. That said, you cannot upload every other photo you take, but something meaningful. In addition to creating excellent content, you need to have a pattern with how you publish your photos and other content. While you don’t have to upload every day, you don’t want to keep your audience waiting too long. The rule of thumb here is to identify your goals and values and satisfy your followers ‘thirst’ as well. 

    1. Make Use Of Captions

    Captions are as important as taking great-quality pictures. It is thus important to add good and relatable captions to your Instagram uploads. An attractive caption might be the first thing an audience sees before noticing how good your uploads are. One of the advantages of adding captions to your feeds is that it adds flavor to the content, filling in the gaps for anyone that might not have understood the picture. It also helps tell your followers a story and something they can comment on, share, and even like. 

    While captions are important, they need to be kept short and precise. Long captions can be a turnoff, a reason some of your audience may simply skip the post altogether. That said, try to keep the captions short such that one can read it all in one glimpse. Most people log on to Instagram for photos and visuals, not to read long stories of your endeavours. A short but catchy caption can thus attract a better response than a long one. 

    1. Alternate Between Different Types Of Posts

    Instagram allows ne to use stories, carousels, reels, and photos on their timelines. Using only one or two types of posts might make your timeline seem monotonous and predictable. Introducing new/fresh types of content should help breathe life into the channel, a reason you should explore the different types of posts. Using different post types in each upload will help your followers appreciate what you have to offer even more – it shows how creative you are. 

    According to research and industry reports, Instagram reels are the most engaging, with most viewers preferring these to other posts. This is because short and fun reels are thrilling and captivating at the same time. 

    1. Identify Optimal Times To Make Uploads

    Making uploads at a time when your consumers are more likely to be online will help improve viewership and following. Take time to learn when most of your audiences are online, then schedule uploads to such times. Use an Instagram likes app to boost your audience. There are plenty of third-party analytics tools that can help monitor and determine the best time to upload. Make an effort to schedule uploads for the same to ensure your audiences don’t get bored. Keeping your uploads in sync with the target audience’s ‘’Instagram agendas’ will contribute to more impressions and increased engagement. 

    1. Take Advantage Of User-Generated Content

    If your business involves selling products and/or services, there are times when customers will want to share their experiences and thoughts with the community. Most of them will tag or mention you in their posts. You can show them you indeed value their input by responding to their comments and feedback. While you might want to focus on the positive opinions, a few pointers from the customers can show how considerate you are to them. The best you can do is respond to both positive and negative posts about your brand or product. This helps open a channel of communication where you, too, can learn something from the consumers. 

    Responding to user content and feedback encourages customer interaction, actions some may not want to take. Nevertheless, it is through such interactions that other consumers will see you for what you are, hence want to do business with you. You will be surprised how a negative comment handled expertly to an amicable agreement can win more audience and followers to your side. Consider asking for the customer’s consent before using their content on your posts or timeline.
